  dave, has jehovah's witnesses society proved itself by what it teaches, to love man and god and wife and child and to act for the betterment of all?

  There's alot of good advice out there thank you.

  I still have my faith in tact. And hope that an JW who read this will understand you don't need an Organization to worship Jehovah. Thats all alot of twisting of scripture.

  here's some thing right from the official jw site under fequently asked questions.. do you shun former members?.

  those who simply cease to be involved in the faith are not shunned.

  in compliance with the scriptures, however, members can be expelled for serious unchristian conduct, such as stealing, drunkenness, or adultery, if they do not repent and cease such actions.

  Just a thought.

  What if a bunch of (df or da) persons who lived in the same area went to the kingdom H. on school & service meeting nite.
  And they all brought Ray Franze book (COC) or Steve Hassan Book (combating Cult mind control) but came at different times and sat indifferent seats, with the title of the books clearly visible for all to see.
  And at the end of the meeting they would all fellowship among themselves right there at the KH.
  What do tou think people would say.

  Elders will ask two questions---any advice?

  i have been missing in action for 6.5 years.

  i moved 55 miles away.

  a couple of weekends ago, two elders (in suits) from my old cong.

  Hi Erin,

  I used to be an elder and had to ask those question to some one time.
  I can't remember what they were but I think they were to the effect do you beleive that the Org. is God's Org. along that line it was more than ten years ago. They also tried just one question on me recently and I really didn't listen that well.
  Here's my little retorical thrust on the subject:

  They must feel your a real threat for some reason or they wouldn't be trying to use the question thing on you. Somebody has told them something about you to make them go to that lenght. Don't be suprised JW's are encourage to tattle on one another.

  I think the Society made up thse questions so elders don't have to hear damming information that those of us are getting about the Org.
  So they don't run the risk of loosing their elders. I was exposed to good information as I as an elder caused me to see the lies of the Org.(10 years before it worked on me).

  You can try this, everytime they ask the question say "I don't understand the question" keep saying it until they finally leave.
  Just a thought.

  They only mention 3 things you can get DF'd for (stealing, drunkeness, and adultery).
  I amagine if the would put a complete list of all the things you could get DF'd for what would it look like how many people would want to join.
  Here's a patial list I can think of I'm sure there's lots more:
  Speaking against the Org., Buying a lottery ticket, celibrating birthdays, celibrating christmas, giving some one Ray Franze book, holding a belief different from the Org.,not believing the WT is God's Org., unrepentantly takeing a blood transfution, working for a church, joining the Army, running for office, working for Philip Morse, dealing cards at a casino, smoking pot, saying Rutherford was a drunk etc...

  Jurs,

  I glad you were able to meet such a chalenge. May Jehovah bless you. When you speak to them, they may not seem that they are getting point that you are making.
  But don't get discouraged. I was an elder who sat on meetings like yours, and fought for the Org. It took about ten years for these things to bounce around in my head until I finaly got it. Thanks to brave people like you.
  So you may see some good come of it soon or it may take years, but you did the right thing.
